Ramshot Hunter Smokeless Gun Powder is newly manufactured, meaning it hasn’t been pulled from loaded ammunition and it’s not military surplus powder. Ramshot Hunter Smokeless Gun Powder Every powder in the Ramshot family is double-based and spherical shaped.

Ramshot HUNTER is a double-base, clean burning, high performance propellant that is perfect for elk country cartridges such as the 270 Winchester, 300 WSM and 338 Win Mag. It’s the only spherical powder in the popular 4350 burn range making it an ideal powder for a wide range of cartridges. The excellent flow characteristics allow accurate metering and consistent shot-to-shot results.

    Can’t wait to get more
Had another shooter tell me to try 46.0 gr behind a 120 gr Barnes TTSX. He is on to something. Dime sized groups every time. Not sure of the speed, but it kills deer Old Testament Dead. Would also work well on hogs.

    Great Powder
Great powder and have been shooting it for many, many years. Started using it on a recommendation from a friend and loved how it loaded so easy and was so clean compared to other powders. Been with the company pretty much since it started. They are starting to get their product back out on the market again after being sold, but still one of the best powders I have used. If you shoot a .220 Swift, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

Why have I not used it before?
Just returned from the range where my wife fired a 5 shot group that we covered with a completely covered with a dime from her model 700 Youth. 243, 85 gr Barnes TSX over 45.2 grains of Hunter. Thank You Midfirearms for having it in stock if only for a short time.

Hunter works well with cartridges that prefer slow powders
My 6.5X55 Tikka T3 loves this powder with a 140gr bullet.

I have shot nearly all …
I have shot nearly all powders on the market; I have changed to Ramshot powders because of clean burn & consistent loads. Try this powder, you will not return to the powder you used to shoot.

  8. Melida Arredondo

Ramshot Hunter is one of the best powders out there if you use it in a case that has plenty of brass to it. Load a medium weight bullet per that caliber on top and it will give good results ,perhaps the best. This comes from range and actual hunting with it and taking large animals with it at 55 U.S. degrees. I tested this load the day before I got on the sky bus to go to the hunt. Both locations had the same temp. It is clean burning and uses lower charge weights when compared to the old hand- me -down loads. The caliber was the original 1924 .270 .

Love this powder for .223 and .308!
Absolutely the best powder with 69 gr. 223 and 168 gr. 308 loads.

    Ramshot Hunter
Great powder, meters consistently. I use 73.3 grs of it for my 338 win mag using 225 gr Barnes TSX bullets. 2825 f/s Five shot touching at 100 yards.

Great Powder for Heavy Grain 30-06 Loads
I found this powder to be a good match for heavy grain 30-06 loads. It performed well down to 150 grain bullets but Big Game did better there. For Hornady 178 Grain ELD-X bullets my loads were consistent in velocity, minimal vertical dispersion and groups were very tight. This is a ball powder that is very fine. It meters very well and consistent on a progressive press. I achieved high velocities and Great Standard Deviations. Many of the SDs were 15 and below. I settled n a load that produced a velocity of 2,753 FPS with a SD of 2.
